Kitsap Rescue Mission UPDATE!
We have three updates to share. The first is about our building on 6th Street. The
new upstairs windows have been installed and look wonderful! We are so grateful for this
progress! Once the ban on construction was lifted, the BJC Group went to work installing
the windows generously donated by Lowes. The new windows will help with temperature
control inside the building. Stay tuned for updates as we work out our permits with the
City of Bremerton.
Our Gratitude List Includes:
Full Circle Meals. One of the organizations that has blessed us abundantly during this time is Full Circle Meals (click here to visit their Facebook page). This creative project pays restaurants for meals which are then donated to service providers such as the Kitsap Rescue Mission. During April, they provided 3,765 meals! They have been such a blessing to us!
Great Give Contributors. With seven donors who provided a wonderful pool of matching funds, an additional 274 individuals invested into what is happening at KRM. Our community doubled their support from last year's Kitsap Great Give and we are so grateful.
Our Amazing Donors! Your generosity just keeps increasing. Thank you for taking care of us as we have greatly expanded our services to take care of our neighbors experiencing homeless.
Volunteers who sewed masks for all of us! Thank you so much to all of you have taken your time and resources to make hand sewn masks for our staff and our guests. Many of these come in creative colors and styles which makes them fun to wear! You have made safety fashionable.
The second update is about the 24 hour shelter we are operating at the Pavilion at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. The County and the Parks Dept. graciously worked out an arrangement for us to use this beautiful facility to safely house our homeless guests. Would you like a tour? You can take one right now: click here! Being able to stay in one place continuously, having a place to store belongings, and having regular services on site – has been life changing for many of our guests (and our staff – we hope to continue the 24 hour shelter!).
The third update is about the continued generosity of this wonderful community at this time of shortage and need. You have been amazing. Please see both of the above updates as evidence of the difference you are making in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.
We are so grateful for your continuous partnership to serve those who are without homes.

We Support Families
It doesn't take much to destabilize a family unit. Maybe it's an illness or injury, losing a job, domestic violence, or the exploding cost of housing and rent which can quickly outpace a families resources. Whatever it is, we are here to keep that family off the street.
Recently a former guest said,
"My daughter and I used to spend time here(KRM) in the day room while I was pregnant and homeless living in a homeless shelter! We moved back home and are finally stabilizing, but this place was our saving grace! Thank you for all your help and hope you gave us!"
You can help make sure families have a safe place to stay, a hot meal, and a warm bed to sleep in by giving now.
