Full-time Business Operations Director

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Business Operations Manager oversees facilities and administrative functions of the Mission, including but not limited to budget development, daily finance transactions, local vendor relationships, facilities management, insurance, fleet management, HR, and IT.

Full-time Overnight Shelter Monitor Position

The Shelter Monitor, under the supervision of the Shelter Manager, will be the Kitsap Rescue Mission’s representative in the Shelter. Working as a team with the scheduled volunteers, the Shelter Monitor will ensure the vision, culture and core values of Kitsap Rescue Mission are upheld by all our volunteers and guests. This position is five shifts per week, eight hours per shift making it forty hours per week. The two shifts are from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am and 12:00 am to 8:30 am. Both with a thirty minute lunch.The Shelter Manager creates the schedule that all the Monitors and Shelter Manager fill to keep the Overnight Shelter open and running seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day during the Pandemic. This is a temporary position until the Pandemic is over.

Volunteer Positions

Volunteer Donations Backroom Coordinator: The Volunteer Donations Backroom Coordinator (VDBC) is responsible for assisting the Dayroom Manager in the work of receiving, sorting and storing all incoming donations and providing for receipts for donated items. The VDBC will also schedule volunteers and oversee their work while sorting and storing donated items. This position does not require guest contact. For more information, click here.

 

 

Volunteer Donations Distribution Coordinator: The Volunteer Donations Distribution Coordinator (VDDC) is responsible for assisting the Dayroom Manager in the work distributing clothing, shoes and hygiene supplies to guests on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12:30 – 3:30. The VDDC will also schedule volunteers and oversee their work during clothing distribution times. This position does have guest contact. For more information, click here.

 

 

Volunteer Facility Maintenance Assistant:  Facility Maintenance Assistant (FMA), under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Lead is responsible to assist the FML in repairs and upkeep of the building and grounds. Working in a team environment, the FMA supports the vision, culture, and core values of the Kitsap Rescue Mission. For more information, click here.
